Decision Explanation Model
Status: active Last updated: 2026-04-15
What It Does
The explanation model turns raw decision rankings into plain-language details.
Current Output
- what the decision is about
- what rules matter
- how each option scored
- why the winner won
- what data is missing or weak
Core Shapes
- decision summary
- ranked options
- metric-by-metric explanation
- warnings for missing or weak data
Important Rule
If rank helper fields are missing, the explanation layer should still be able to rebuild understandable output from the final scores.
Why It Matters
Raw scores are not enough for most users. The explanation model helps turn numbers into understandable reasoning.
